C-Bass

Challenge
There have been hundreds, maybe even thousands of stringed instruments throughout history, yet most people play the same few. Many musicians I've met want to play instruments that are a bit out of the ordinary, but they are either too expensive or lacking in general availability.
Goal
This project began by seeking out affordable solutions for stringed instruments with cultural and historic significance. The upright bass stood out due to relevance and demand. I set out to build an instrument that isn't unweildly and resonable for the average electric bass player's wallet.
Solution
By researching many instruments in their original forms, as well as modern mass produced electric instruments (guitar, bass and orchestral) I was able to rework the essential elements of an electric upright bass. Low production costs and its construction, result in an instrument that can retail for a much lower price than anything on the market.
